Wheatley Fish Festival
Wheatley's annual Fish Festival has for decades marked the importance of the freshwater fishing industry to the region. Hundreds are employed on the fishing tugs that ply western Lake Erie and in the processing plants near the harbour. More are involved in feeder industries, from retail fish outlets to restaurants to boat building.
Held the first weekend in August, Fish Festival activities range from a parade with marching bands and floats, competitions and a fishing derby, not to mention an all-you-can eat chicken and Lake Erie perch dinner.

Fishing Derbies
Sponsored by the Southwest Outdoors Club, anglers young and old get the chance to land the biggest walleye, rainbow trout, salmon and sheephead each summer.
The youngsters have their own derby, while the adult competition, held over two weekends, is part of the annual Fish Festival.

Summer Concert Series
Every year from June to September, the natural amphitheatre at Two Creeks Conservation Area resounds to the sound of live music.
From bluegrass to blues, from rock to gospel, there's sure to be at least one performance that will suit every taste. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. There's no admission charge, but the hat is passed to offset the cost of bringing in performers and to continue the work of the volunteers who administer the 85-acre site.
